Replace the hamburger menu with a fixed bottom tab bar (Library, Chat, Cards, Quiz, More) with active-route highlighting via res.locals.currentPath.
Add a More bottom sheet: profile, Insights, search, PWA install, logout, version.
Add a mobile search button in the top bar; universal search goes full-screen on phones.
Add a --tabbar-h CSS variable with safe-area insets (viewport-fit=cover); toasts, the PWA update banner, modals, chat sidebar and file chat dock sit above the tab bar.
Chat: collapse the header actions into a kebab menu (Rename/Export/Share/Delete) on small screens and size the layout with dvh minus the tab bar.
Cards: hide the tab bar during review (nav-focus), full-height review shell, import modal fits within the viewport.
Use 44px touch targets and 16px inputs on mobile to stop iOS focus zoom.
Add horizontal scroll for KaTeX display math, insights charts and wide tables.
Hide the footer on mobile.

Add a server-controlled model catalog (CHAT_MODELS) with a chat model picker and per-feature model preferences in the profile
Support PNG/JPEG/WEBP attachments in chat for vision-capable models, stored in chat_attachments and counted toward storage quota
Generate saved quizzes from chat requests (CHAT_QUIZ_ACTIONS) via a shared quiz generator service
Add longAnswer questions graded against rubric key points with partial credit and feedback; allow regenerating a single question
Replace unit-based quotas with weighted-token billing: reserve an estimate, then settle to real token counts per request; weight by model
Harden grading prompts against injected tags and invisible characters
Plan large-document passes up front so reservations cover every call
Add schema columns/indexes, env and docker-compose knobs, README docs, and ten new test files

Added Exam mode for quizzes: a timed, one-question-at-a-time exam simulator with a flaggable question navigator and review-before-submit, alongside the existing practice mode.
Added post-hoc quiz question editing: add, edit, duplicate, delete, and AI-regenerate individual questions before starting.
Added PWA support: installable app with service worker, offline shell, manifest and icon set; PWA_ENABLED kill-switch and /sw.js route.
Added universal search (Ctrl/Cmd+K) across files, revisions, chats, cards, and quizzes.
Added in-chat search across conversation titles and message bodies, jumping to and highlighting the matched message.
Added Markdown export and native share across chats, quizzes, revisions, decks, and file text.
Added "Ask about this" actions throughout the app, including a floating text-selection prompt.
Added per-user timezone with day-boundary-correct SRS reviews and insights.
Added flashcard study controls: daily new-card and review limits, bury, and suspend.
Added Anki-style CSV import for cards, plus round-trippable CSV export.
Improved chat UI for mobile view.
